Triage Rules

Triage is a similar game to Assassin. The object of the game is to eliminate as many people from other Dean’s groups as possible. You will earn one point for your Dean’s group for every target eliminated. Triage will end when only one Dean’s group remains or at 5PM on Friday June 20th.

1. You will receive your target via email from DukeADO@outlook.com. You may have to share a target with one of your Deanmates, in which case you should collaborate!

2. Eliminate your target

  • Eliminate a target via:
  1. Shining a pen light in their eye with no witnesses OR
  2. Placing your stethoscope in your ears correctly and placing the diaphragm on your target’s back with or without witnesses.

If you are wearing your white coat while eliminating your target, you will receive two points for your Dean’s group!  Remember to not be disruptive!

  • Notify DukeADO@outlook.com if you have successfully eliminated your target with “Target Eliminated” in the Subject line. You must CC the person you eliminated on the email. Please list your Dean’s group, your target’s name and whether or not you were wearing a white coat in the body of the email. You will then be sent a new target as soon as we can.
  • Eliminations CANNOT happen in the classroom, in any patient care setting or in any situation that might be perceived as disruptive. If you do attempt to eliminate a target in any situation that can in any way be perceived as disruptive, you WILL be eliminated.
  • Eliminations CAN happen on the walk to/from PG3 or another parking lot, in the student 4th floor lounge at any time (except during the Table Tennis Tournament), in TSCHE during off hours, in your home, in downtown Durham etc.

3. Watch your back because someone is trying to eliminate you! You can protect yourself by shining your pen light in the eye of the person that is coming to eliminate you! If you do this before your attacker is able to complete their elimination of you, then your attacker will be eliminated instead! (Notify DukeADO@outlook.com as described above)

4. Have fun! But don’t be disruptive: use your common sense.
